
Julien Reynaud was born in 1980
- Graduated from Anne Aubert's composition class at the Tours Conservatoire.
- BA from the Musicology Faculty in Tours, with an emphasis on research. Further research towards an MA on the Magnificats in the Cambrai manuscript (16th century) at the Centre d'Etudes Supérieures de la Renaissance de Tours.
- Studied at the Early Music department in Tours (playing from facsimiles, Renaissance vocal music performance practice and cornetto)
- Studied choral writing with the composer Thierry Machuel.
- Studied singing with Dominique Desmonds in Limoges, Viviane Durand in Bourges and Bruno Boterf in Tours.
- Artistic Director of the Candor Vocalis vocal ensemble.
- Musical Director of the Vocalise choir in Dun Le Palestel (Creuse)
- Member of the Mikrokosmos vocal ensemble, directed by Loïc Pierre.
- Member of the Rennes Opera choir, directed by Gildas Pungier.
Julien Reynaud has composed a large corpus of music for documentaries and visual presentations, a cappella choral pieces and music for small instrumental ensembles.
